The U.S. Postal Service will not be offering services Thursday, Jan. 9, due to President Joe Biden declaring it a National Day of Observance for the funeral of President Jimmy Carter. This means there will be no Thursday edition of the Clinton Daily News due to the local Post Office being closed.

Traffic was backed up while firefighters worked to move the vehicles from the intersection. No serious injuries were reported.

Clinton resident Hoi Geswender had the opportunity recently to check off a bucket item from her list this week, as she along with some of her sisters and nieces traveled to Pasadena, Calif., to work and help create the Kiwanis float for the Rose Bowl Parade held Jan 1.
