Clinton Public Schools’ Gifted and Talented testing referral window is back for another semester, according to GT Director Nancy Murray.

A Clinton woman is facing a felony charge of unauthorized use of a vehicle after allegedly taking off with a woman’s car after she attempted to return her to her apartment due to being allegedly intoxicated.

As winds reached around 40 mph in Clinton in the early hours of Wednesday, Lori Ooley at 4 a.m. heard a crack and because the sound was not too loud, she thought it was a fence and decided not to investigate.

Believing the home to allegedly being “haunted,” Tavar Lamont Davis, 37, of Clinton, allegedly purposefully set fire March 13 to the home he was staying at located at 317 S. 16th St .

The Clinton Fire Department has been extremely busy for the last five to six days as high winds causing fire danger will remain for most of the week.

Eventually the community of Clinton will grow by two new citizens with Clinton Regional Hospital adding Dr. Nadia Azuero as a primary care physician to the medical facility. The other will be Mannolo, her Bichon Frisé. Her brother affectionately calls him “Quack-Quack” because he follows her everywhere. It’s assumed both will eventually require appointments for people to see in the coming days.
