Clinton is home to many family-owned businesses. Some of them have been around for years, and one of those businesses is Johnson Signs. Located just south of Clinton, just off of U.S. Highway 183, Johnson Signs has been around since 1991 and is responsible for many signs and decorations all around the city of Clinton.

The Clinton Public School Foundation budgets up to $50,000 a school year to Teacher Classroom Grants and Principal Site Grants through two grant cycles, one in the fall and one in the spring.

At the regular meeting of the Clinton Hospital Authority Wednesday at Clinton Regional Hospital, the standout order of business was the official approval of the contract with Dr. Bryan Bluth.

Doughnuts were carved into the soccer fields at Acme Brick Park by an apparent pickup truck.

Vandals have recently struck at two City of Clinton properties with damage incurred at the soccer complex at Schumacher Fields at Acme Park and the R.A. “Dick” Lloyd Amphitheater.

The Clinton City Council covered a lot of ground Tuesday night in its regularly scheduled meeting. Among the topics of conversation were Riverside Golf Course, approval of a memorandum of understanding with the West OK Co-Op, a change to the fencing regulations and standards, as well as the potential purchase of a rear-load trash truck.

It will be a known commodity assuming clubhouse responsibilities at Riverside Golf Course. Former Clinton Public Schools Supt. Perry Adams was awarded an independent contractor agreement to be the Riverside golf pro during Tuesday night’s Clinton City Council meeting.

Picnic tables made from inmates at the Oklahoma Correctional Industries were delivered to Acme Brick Park Tuesday afternoon as part of the continued effort to provide a facelift to the facility.
