Another update has been announced in the continuing lawsuit between the City of Clinton and Community Health Systems, Inc. (CHS), the parent company of AlianceHealth Clinton, the original lease holder before the hospital doors were shuttered midnight Dec. 31, 2022.

The date for the beginning of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol new Troop H Headquarters in Clinton was mentioned by State Sen. Darcy Jech at Friday’s Clinton Chamber of Commerce legislative luncheon when he and Speaker Pro Tempore Anthony Moore addressed the crowd.

The western Oklahoma community was rocked Friday afternoon, as two people died as a result of a head-on collision along U.S. Highway 183 and E. 920 Rd., 4 miles west of Custer City. The initial report from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol had the incorrect highway listed.

Two locations in Clinton have asked for and received naloxone vending machines from the South Western Oklahoma Development Authority (SWODA) to assist people who may have overdosed on opioids. Kits have also been distributed to other locations as well.
