The Oklahoma Highway Patrol released reports of two recent crashes with direct injuries involved. According to the report filed by Trooper Kendrick Johnson, the first one occurred at approximately 12:56 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of State Highway 54 and 960 Road, north of Weatherford. Kimberly Jo Siegle, 21, of Weatherford, was driving northbound on S.H. 54. She slowed to turn west onto 960 Road and was struck from behind by a vehicle operated by Roy Laverne Plummer, 61, of Watonga. Plummer told the trooper he was distracted when reaching for his drink. Plummer’s vehicle struck the rear driver’s side of Siegle’s vehicle with the front passenger’s side bumper.

Oklahoma is smack dab in the middle of Tornado Alley. Over the years there have been people who have experienced all manner of hardships with personal loss and vivid memories. Clinton’s Donna Carter is one such individual who witnessed the deadliest tornado in Oklahoma’s history, and lived to tell the tale.

Cheers and tears have been shared over the years at the Tornado Bowl, but Friday’s events at the facility just left many with simply tears when an individual died around noon on the playing surface of the storied facility.
