Clinton local and Arapaho- Butler senior Malley Baker recently placed first in the Sweet Bread Category of the Junior Division at the State “Best of Wheat” Bread Baking contest held Sunday at the Oklahoma State Fair. Her entry of Cinnamon Roll Twist with Brown Butter Frosting placed ahead of the other entries in the class.

Mario Salcido Trevizo, 59, of Clinton, has been arrested after allegedly driving under the influence and evading law enforcement in a low-speed chase, allegedly refusing to adhere to commands.

A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a local woman accused of embezzling approximately $8,000 in cash and $160 in merchandise from Dollar General. Sierra Malone, 26, of Clinton, was allegedly captured on security footage pocketing funds at multiple points.

Supt. Nathan Meget talked with the board about tracking student achievement at all levels and taking a collaborative approach to improving reported numbers. One case illustrated was the high school’s goal of raising the collective ACT scores.
