Arapaho-Butler Supt. Jay Edelen has accepted the position to be the new superintendent of Western Technology Center (WTC) in Burns Flat. He said he wants to “continue to make Western Tech one of the top career tech centers in the state.”

Legionnaire Randy Meacham, seated, recently received a Quilt of Valor. The Quilt of Valor Foundation recognized him for his military service. Meacham was a captain in the U.S. Air Force and served in the Judge Advocate division. His family was present for the award presented at the American Legion Post meeting. The Wash House, the laundromat located on 10th street, experienced a fire December 30 knocking it out of commission. Since then Bryan Foster, with the help of his father, David Foster, have been repairing and updating the laundromat so it will be able to reopen soon, as it essentially reemerges from the ashes.
