Vicky Littke, one of the coordinators for the operation of the Centennial Train at Acme Park, gave an update of how the train has been doing since being put back into operation and the hours of operation this weekend.
Gov. Kevin Stitt announced Monday afternoon that Travis Jett, a private attorney from Woodward, would be appointed to the State Supreme Court. District Judge Donna Dirickson, of Weatherford, was one of the three finalists for the position. Dirickson was appointed as district judge by Stitt Nov. 15, 2024, to fulfill the post after the retirement of Judge Jill Weedon. Dirickson had previously served as associate district judge since 2009. She covers Custer, Beckham, Ellis, Roger Mills, and Washita counties.
House Speaker Pro Tempore Anthony Moore, R-Clinton, on Wednesday passed a bill in committee that would extend the age for a person wishing to complete their high school education.
