A reportedly robust heart health program has been added to Clinton Regional Hospital’s selection of services. Pritikin Intensive Cardiac Rehab offers a comprehensive approach to cardiac rehabilitation.
The Clinton Chamber of Commerce is currently seeking sponsors for the New Teacher Luncheon scheduled for noon July 30 at the Frisco Center. “It’s a way to welcome the new teachers into the business community of Clinton,” said Chamber President Julie Caldwell. “Some of them have never lived here. They’re moving in for that, to be a teacher here. They may even live in other communities. It’s important to know that our business community backs the schools and the new teachers, and just to introduce them to new people that they may have never known, or what their business is.”
After weeks of uncertainty, the federal funds for the REDS 365 after-school program have officially been released, according to Clinton Public Schools.
Cheyanne Elizabeth Walker, 29, of Clinton, has been charged on one count of domestic assault with a dangerous weapon after an incident on the playground at the intersection of N. 16th Street and Prairie Chief Avenue.
The Levitt Concert Series will be going out in style, welcoming two Native American musical groups for the final Levitt Series Concert at 7:30 p.m. on Friday at the R.A. “Dick” Lloyd Amphitheatre in McLain Rogers Park. As with previous Levitt concerts, admission will be free, and attendees are welcome to bring pets to enjoy the show.
Custer County will be looking to fill the position of emergency management director as soon as possible. The position has been vacant since the retirement of Mike Galloway on June 30. Galloway began serving as Custer County’s Emergency Management Director in 2002, and he held the position for 23 years.
