Western Plains Library System has announced a new partnership with the Oklahoma Department of Human Services and the Oklahoma Department of Libraries to empower communities through digital access and social support with WPLS Pathways.

Clinton High School is looking for volunteers for its April 17 Reality Check Program for graduating seniors.

Members of the community began lining up Tuesday at the Mission House to get boxes of fresh fruit and produce that was delivered earlier in the day.

Another update has been announced in the continuing lawsuit between the City of Clinton and Community Health Systems, Inc. (CHS), the parent company of AlianceHealth Clinton, the original lease holder before the hospital doors were shuttered midnight Dec. 31, 2022.

Clinton Police Officer Paul Daniels looks over the damage to a Ford Explorer after a Monday crash at about 4 p.m. Friday at 13th Street and Gary Boulevard. According to Police Sgt. Dillon Mach, the Explorer was travelling westbound when it ran a red light and hit a Volkswagen that was travelling northbound. No citations were issued and there were no injuries.

The date for the beginning of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol new Troop H Headquarters in Clinton was mentioned by State Sen. Darcy Jech at Friday’s Clinton Chamber of Commerce legislative luncheon when he and Speaker Pro Tempore Anthony Moore addressed the crowd.

The western Oklahoma community was rocked Friday afternoon, as two people died as a result of a head-on collision along U.S. Highway 183 and E. 920 Rd., 4 miles west of Custer City. The initial report from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol had the incorrect highway listed.
