Clinton High School has announced the recipients of February’s Red Tornado Boy and Girl Award, an honor bestowed upon senior students who exemplify school spirit and an academic work ethic. Every month a ballot is sent out by Principal Michelle Sorter on which teachers vote for who they believe best exhibits the values of CHS. For the month of February, Isabel Flores and Zaedon Collins were selected for the honor.

Misdemeanor charges against Jah Malachi Banks have been dismissed by the District Court of Custer County.

The Clinton Public Schools Board of Education held a special meeting Monday morning to go over bids for the $1,950,000 General Obligation Bonds for the construction of the new Clinton Middle School.

With summer finally knocking on the doorstep, the Levitt AMP Clinton Music Series is set to return at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the R.E. “Dick” Lloyd Amphitheatre in McLain Rogers Park with Oklahoma duo The Imaginaries making their Clinton return as well.

An outstanding warrant of arrest is in place for Andre Jose Rodriguez, 45, of Clinton, on the charges of domestic assault and battery and first-degree burglary stemming from an alleged altercation with a female victim.

Next week the third leg of the three-year Levitt AMP Clinton Series gets underway. Free concerts will be offered to the public starting Friday and continuing through July 25.

CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) is seeking more volunteers to take on cases pertaining to foster children.
