WOODWARD – It’s fair to say the Clinton girls’ basketball team (9-14 overall) is finding its stride at the right time and furthered that narrative in a 59-43, regularseason finale win over Woodward (9-14) Tuesday night on the road.
ARAPAHO – Tonight’s opening round of the regional tournament sees the competition level ratchet up immediately for the Arapaho-Butler basketball program.
Every season the Clinton soccer program faces one the toughest schedules in the state, and that has helped both teams become state champions and state title contenders on a yearly basis.
It took some time to get going, but the Clinton girls’ basketball team found its shooting rhythm and stayed in the zone, knocking down 15 threepointers in a 59-31, senior night win over the Bethany Bronchos Friday at the Tornado Dome.
A year filled with so many holes in the lineup sees the No. 13 Clinton wrestling team carrying 13 wrestlers out of a possible 14 spots for the regional tournament next week.
Injuries decimated the Clinton wrestling team across the 2019-2020 season, reducing the starting lineup down for duals and tournaments. During those instances, CHS needed the rest of its lineup to be there to make up for those holes.
