Lady Reds get back in win column

A run of ranked opponents put the Clinton volleyball team (7-9 overall as of press time Thursday) on a four-game losing streak, but it remained resilient and responded with back-to-back wins against Altus Monday and Tipton Tuesday.

A-B drops regular season finale

The Arapaho-Butler softball team (19-11 overall) fell to Fort Cobb-Broxton, 3-2. Tuesday. The Lady Indians did get a strong start from pitcher Morgandee Sawatzky, who struck out nine in the complete game. Alexia Barker touches second base and prepares to head to third during the game versus FC-B.

The Foss Lake level is 1.98 feet below normal. Gates are closed. Water temperature is in higher 60’s.

CHS goes distance in loss to rival

A strong outing from sophomore starting pitcher Kenzie Kauk and solid outfield play keyed by sophomore right fielder Saydee Starnes kept the Clinton softball team within striking distance of rival and district opponent Weatherford Monday, but it wasn’t enough.

Eagles rebound, punish Mangum

BURNS FLAT – What a difference one week made for the Burns Flat-Dill City football team (2-1 overall) Friday night at home, bouncing back from a 14-6 loss to Cordell in week two, with a statement-making, 30-12, beat down of Mangum in week three.
