Bridges leaving for Stillwater

Clinton Public Schools Supt. Tyler Bridges confirmed Tuesday morning he was accepting the job to become the superintendent of Stillwater Public Schools.

In the evening before the departure of Supt. Tyler Bridges was made known, the Clinton Public Schools Board of Education conducted its April meeting Monday with the naming of new officers, a report of fewer students, construction updates and more Kim Meacham was appointed board president. Susanna Williams is the new vice president and CaraLea Kreizenbeck is the new secretary.

Digging in

Churches list Easter services

Easter is almost here, and many Clinton churches will have varying hours and extra services for the holiday. Here is a list of a few services and what services will be offered, as confirmed before press time Tuesday.

Gov. Kevin Stitt announced Monday afternoon that Travis Jett, a private attorney from Woodward, would be appointed to the State Supreme Court. District Judge Donna Dirickson, of Weatherford, was one of the three finalists for the position. Dirickson was appointed as district judge by Stitt Nov. 15, 2024, to fulfill the post after the retirement of Judge Jill Weedon. Dirickson had previously served as associate district judge since 2009. She covers Custer, Beckham, Ellis, Roger Mills, and Washita counties.
