Playhouse auditions set for ‘Bright Star’

“Bright Star,” a bluegrass musical, will be coming to the Southwest Playhouse this fall. Auditions will be held at 7 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at the Southwest Playhouse.

When is an emergency an “emergency?” That is a question being pondered by the City of Clinton and Rural Hospital Solutions now that a hiccup has occurred in regard to repairing the roof at Clinton Regional Hospital now that the project has been deemed necessary to go out to competitive bids.

With another week into the summer comes the next concert in the Levitt AMP Clinton Music Series with the Cruz Brothers, made up of Edgar and Mark Cruz, set to headline the show.

The Clinton Round-Up Club has announced its 2024 royalty and 2025 candidates, with this year’s royalty being crowned at 7 p.m. tomorrow ahead of the Clinton Rodeo the following two nights.

Clinton Public Schools held its July board meeting Monday, with the headlining item on the agenda being the hiring of Melissa Knabe as the new assistant superintendent of Clinton Public Schools.

Clinton Public Schools selected Addyson Littke and Jaden Patton as the Red Tornado Boy and Girl for the month of May.
