Humble CHS seniors earn highest honors

The legacy of this year’s Clinton football senior class will always be known, as the class that took the program back to state title contention, but it will also be remembered for the humble play of the team’s two highesthonored players.

A-B stays winning, readies for rival

ARAPAHO – Mark down five sweeps through seven games for the Arapaho-Butler basketball program, as both A-B squads took down Sentinel Friday night, in the school’s homecoming matchup.

Clinton’s junior high wrestling season begins at 5 p.m. tonight, at home, against Elgin. The high school’s dual is no contest, due to COVID-19.

Newcomb brings fearless edge

Fearlessness and the will to compete are two things that’re ingrained into Clinton football players, regardless of size, from the day they are able to put the pads on.

The annual Clinton football banquet is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. tonight, at the First Christian Church.

EDMOND – Effort, heart and drive – all were used by the Clinton football team to get to the Class 4A state championship and were still on display until the final whistle in a 42-13 loss to the No. 1, undefeated Wagoner Bulldogs Saturday at UCO’s Wantland Stadium.

Clinton (8-4 overall) will finish as the 2020, Class 4A runner-up. Wagoner completes its undefeated season with a 4A gold ball. It’s Clinton’s 10th silver ball in school history.
