Albert Herbert Korfman

Albert Herbert Korfman was born January 8, 1930 to Fred and Clara (Matthes) Korfman at the family home near Anthon, Oklahoma. Albert attended Anthon schools the first 8 years and then moved in with his sister Eva and her husband D.H. and attended school at Arapaho for one year. He eventually moved back home to help his mother with the farming until he started working at various jobs in Clinton. He worked as a dishwasher, helped deliver furniture, drove the school bus for Independence Schools and worked at a produce warehouse. He met his future wife Anna Barber through a mutual friend Wayne Dickerson (he was dating Anna’s sister Nathlyn). Their first date was a trip to the state fair. They got married April 2, 1950. Of that marriage three children were born, Sheryl Carver of Guymon, Ok; Larry Korfman of Weatherford, OK and Alberta Bentley of Edmond, OK. They were married 43 years until her passing in May of 1993.

Levi Lee Roque was born on January 10, 2026, and on that same day, he gained his wings and went to be with the Lord.

Cathy A. Middleton, age 74, of Custer City, Oklahoma, was born November 11, 1951, in Louisville, Kentucky, and passed away at her home on January 9, 2026.

Robert Malone Sr.

Robert Malone Sr. was born November 26th, 1951, in Tipton, OK. Robert was known for his amazing cooking skills where he showed them off at the famous Pop Hicks restaurant, The Big Sky restaurant, and The Branding Iron Restaurant where he cooked alongside his late brother Willie Malone. However, if you wanted to find Robert when he wasn’t working just locate his sister Faye and his brotherin- law Esco Abram.

Walter ‘Wally” William Tarkington

Walter ‘Wally” William Tarkington, loving husband and father, accomplished musician, talented chef, and everyone’s favorite smarty pants, died at home January 6, 2026, in Clinton, OK.

Funeral services for Walter “Wally” William Tarkington, 51, of Clinton, will be held at 3 p.m. Jan. 24, at The Social.

Wannie Jean Whiteshield

Wannie Jean Whiteshield, Little Woman, was born June 17, 1959, in Thomas, Oklahoma, and journeyed to the Happy Hunting Grounds on January 6, 2026. Surrounded by her mother, children, and granddaughters, she took her final breath at the OU Edmond ICU. Wannie was the daughter of Ercel Whiteshield and was raised between Thomas, Oklahoma, and Denver, Colorado. She attended Thomas High School and spent much of her youth in Denver as well. From a young age, Wannie was grounded in strong traditional Cheyenne values, lovingly instilled by her grandparents, Gertrude and Richard Tallbull.
