Margie Ann Pewo, Burnt Woman “Vonahe’e” age 88, of Hammon, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at her home on November 20, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on March 23, 1937, in McClure, Oklahoma, Margie was the daughter of John and Pollie (Romanose) Belt. She attended Hammon Schools. On September 23, 1963, she married the love of her life, her forever companion Cheyenne Chief Edwin Pewo, and together they built a beautiful life in Hammon, raising nine children, including her first grandson, Charles.
