No action was taken at a special meeting of the Clinton City Council Wednesday regarding proposed amendments to City Ordinance 800. Because no action was taken, the state’s election deadline for calling the Feb. 14 special election will not be met, but if the council can come up with ballot language by Wednesday, the election will take place on March 7.

Edge food giveaway scheduled Sunday

The Edge Church will once again be hosting its annual food giveaway Sunday to benefit those in need throughout the community. The event will begin at 8 a.m. Sunday in the old Stage building located at 911 S. 10th St. in Clinton and will continue as long as supplies last.
