The final day of the school year for Clinton High School also marked the last day of practice of the spring slate for the 2023 CHS Red Tornado football team.
A new era of CHS Lady Reds basketball is starting, and it brings a familiar name with it.
The annual Western Oklahoma Baseball Coaches Association (WOBCA) All-Star Game was held Wednesday at Eagle Field in Weatherford for both the small schools as well as for the large schools.
For one of the final times of the 2023 season, Kat Meacham and Montiel “Bumpy” Crane represented Clinton High School track and field in a meet. This time it was the Meet of Champions Tuesday at Rock Creek High School in Shawnee.
The senior year of high school is meant to be a special year, but for some studentathletes it can also be a sad year too as most do not continue the sport in which they have been playing for a good chunk of their lives.

Three additional Clinton High School Red Tornado soccer members were recognized with All-District honors for their efforts following their third straight state championship win.
In addition to achieving their third straight soccer championship the Red Tornadoes were previously decorated with five All-District designations and six members of the Lady Reds also achieved the honor. They were recognized at the annual CHS Soccer Banquet.
While going out on top would be a nice way to end an athletic career, sometimes it is just not in the cards for players at all levels of play.
