His grandson, Floyd Simon IV, middle, ran his first ever 5K with a time of 30:47.44. Dr. Simon completed the 5K with a time of 35:41.33. The original race results had the granfather’s and grandson’s time flipped. Floyd Simon IV actually bested his grandfather by almost five minutes.
