A run of ranked opponents put the Clinton volleyball team (7-9 overall as of press time Thursday) on a four-game losing streak, but it remained resilient and responded with back-to-back wins against Altus Monday and Tipton Tuesday.
The Arapaho-Butler softball team (19-11 overall) fell to Fort Cobb-Broxton, 3-2. Tuesday. The Lady Indians did get a strong start from pitcher Morgandee Sawatzky, who struck out nine in the complete game. Alexia Barker touches second base and prepares to head to third during the game versus FC-B.

A strong outing from sophomore starting pitcher Kenzie Kauk and solid outfield play keyed by sophomore right fielder Saydee Starnes kept the Clinton softball team within striking distance of rival and district opponent Weatherford Monday, but it wasn’t enough.

ARAPAHO – Three shutouts and a close, 8-7 win over Calumet has the No. 19 Arapaho-Butler baseball team (14-9 overall as of press time Monday) on a four-game winning streak.
Change of plans - the Clinton football team (1-1 overall) will now open district play at 7 p.m. Friday at Elgin, instead of at home versus Newcastle. That game's future is currently undecided.
