A-B headed for regionals

The Arapaho-Butler softball team (22-11 overall) and sophomore Katie Edelen, pictured, swept districts last week to claim the program’s first district title since 2015. Reds sprint past Owls

ELGIN – A game against a winless squad can sometimes make it tough to get the motivational juices flowing, but after a week off and the status of each game up in the air, the Clinton football team unleashed a total smack down of Elgin Friday night, 46-7.

ARAPAHO – The moment was never too big for freshman pitcher Morgandee Sawatzky and the Arapaho-Butler softball team (21-11 overall as of press time Friday) in Thursday’s opening day of the district tourney, winning both games handily.
