Four make OBCA teams

A pair of area pitchercatcher tandems received OBCA honors Thursday. The selections say a lot about the four players. Without much of a 2020 season to go off of, coaches had to base voting simply off past accomplishments.

Antlerless deer, waterfowl hunting expands

Deer hunters will have more opportunities to harvest antlerless deer this fall, and waterfowlers will have more hunting days in the middle of the season, after the Oklahoma Wildlife Conservation Commission approved two resolutions in its regular meeting May 4.

The annual ‘Continue the Tradition’ golf tournament is postponed. The tourney is usually scheduled for Memorial Day weekend but is currently shelved due to concerns over COVID-19.

Griffith set for star role

Arapaho-Butler boys’ basketball saw big starters Jace Edelen and Zach Carlisle graduate. However, they’ll be in good hands with players like now-junior guard Brett Griffith stepping up. He's averaged 8.3 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.28 assists per game over his 60 career games.
