CHS can’t find gaps against Weatherford

WEATHERFORD – The Clinton baseball team (11-8 overall, 6-2 in district) put numerous hits deep into the outfield and at the warning track but nearly all found the grasp of Weatherford (17-9, 10-1) in a 9-3, Custer County Conflict, district defeat Monday night.

ELK CITY – Both the Clinton golf team and senior, returning state qualifier Tyson Miller managed to place at Elk City’s tournament Monday, as CHS finished third in the team standings and Miller took home eighth overall.

A-B falls to Canute

The Lady Indians (10-10 overall) and Haley Cordes, pictured, played No. 6 Canute tough but came up short, 9-3, Monday at home. 

Cisneros gives CHS a winner

If there’s anything that defines Zade Cisneros’ career as a Clinton athlete, it’s that he’s a winner, helping all three sports he participated in, to winning records in every year he was a varsity member.

WEATHERFORD – It had been three seasons since the soccer version of the Custer County Conflict had been played, and the Clinton soccer program reminded Weatherford who ran the soccer rivalry in recent years, sweeping the Eagles Thursday night on the road.

Reds pick up marquee win over Kingfisher

A second shot at its non-district rival awaited the Clinton baseball team (11-7 overall) Thursday night at home, but heading into the bottom of the sixth inning, Kingfisher (14-5) had a 5-2 lead and appeared to be headed for its second win in as many attempts against the Reds.

A-B pulls off major ranked win

Trailing 5-0 through the first two innings, the No. 18 Arapaho- Butler baseball team was in trouble against No. 15 Shattuck at home Monday night.
