Joshua Lee Thompson, 38, of Clinton, has been charged with carrying a firearm after a felony conviction, threatening to perform an act of violence, and assault and battery upon a police officer after a Feb. 4 incident.

With achievement testing, spring activities and a traditional German fest on the horizon, Corn Bible Academy Superintendent Tim Mc-Donald says the school is looking forward to its many upcoming spring semester events and continuing to settle into its new campus.

School demolition progress

Demolition on Southwest Elementary School’s original wings began this week as part of Clinton Public School’s Capital Improvement Plan. Southwest Elementary will see the addition of new classrooms once the project is completed. The 15-month project is expected to be finished late next spring.
