The Clinton City Council moved to hold a special election on Feb. 14, 2023, to amend City Ordinance 800 to allow for the use of principal lease payment amounts from past hospital lease payments for the purpose of operating the hospital or for loans for the purpose of infrastructure improvements within the City of Clinton.

As of press time yesterday, no new candidates have filed for the Clinton Board of Education No. 3 seat and Arapaho-Butler No. 1 and No. 3 seats at the Custer County Election Board.

Clinton Economic Development Director Roland Mower gave his thoughts on the Glancy property’s redevelopment proposals to the Clinton Economic Development Authority during its regular meeting Tuesday. The authority received two proposals that were vastly different in their plans for the property and will discuss the proposals further at a special meeting Monday.
