The Winter Feed will continue to serve a free lunch to all students under the age of 18 until Wednesday. The meal is served each weekday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at Nance Elementary, located at 300 S. 11th St.
With last week’s cold snap, many across the area faced problems with their heating systems, including the Custer County Jail whose system has not been working at full capacity since last week.
As City leaders begin preparations for a summer of free concerts through the Levitt Grant at the McLain Rogers Amphitheater, funding sources are being sought to bring new life to the historic park including plans to make it more ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) accessible along with additional parking and sidewalks to make the park more user friendly for years to come.
