Rodeo royalty to be crowned Saturday

The 74th annual Rafter D Clinton Rodeo is this weekend and winners of the Clinton Rodeo Pageant will be crowned at 5 p.m. Saturday.

Clinton’s Edge Church lead pastor Easton Page allegedly received several threatening phone calls recently from Los Angeles resident Jesus De Horta, 27, regarding bomb threats and mass shootings.

The Clinton Police Department, like almost every other department throughout the nation, is currently looking for quality people to join its staff, according to CPD Chief Paul Rinkel.

Community stuffs backpacks for kids

Members from different churches in town stuffed backpacks with school supplies Wednesday at Cornerstone Church for students to use during the upcoming school year. Approximately 750 backpacks were stuffed. CDN
