Following Tuesday’s Special Election, the sale of Clinton Regional Hospital (CRH) to Rural Healthcare Solutions (RHS) appears to be moving forward. The election called for a simple majority decision, and Clinton voters supported the sale of the hospital in a big way.

According to Moore, the building and operation at 418 Frisco Ave. has been there since at least 1957 when her father worked there, but the business has been in operation for 100 years. The regular meeting of the Clinton Economic Development Authority (CEDA), held Tuesday afternoon, consisted mostly of an executive session closed to the public and the press.
Alicia Smith, 35, of Clinton, was arrested Dec. 13 on the charges of assault and battery upon a police officer and obstructing an officer.
After nearly an hour of executive session Monday night, the Clinton School Board extended the contract of its superintendent.
