It’s playoff time for the Clinton softball team (15-17 overall), as it faces a tough task of traveling and facing District 4A-4’s second-seeded Harrah Panthers (15-6) in a best-of-three, bi-district series today.
Resiliency has always been at the forefront of the Arapaho-Butler baseball team over the last few years, fighting through injuries or other circumstances to rise above and find success.
The 2020 Clinton volleyball season officially ended Tuesday, due to a COVID-19 exposure, cutting the team’s season short of the regional tourney. The Lady Reds went 8-13 on the year and finished the season at the western conference tourney. The Arapaho-Butler softball team (22-11 overall) and sophomore Katie Edelen, pictured, swept districts last week to claim the program’s first district title since 2015. A-B is headed to Class A, No. 1 Binger-Oney for the regional tourney. It will open play against No. 20 Hydro-Eakly at 2 p.m. Thursday. CDN
Just got confirmation, Clinton (2-1 overall) will play at 7 p.m. this Friday at Kingfisher (3-1). Reds and Yellowjackets restore a past rivalry for week five.
ARAPAHO – The moment was never too big for freshman pitcher Morgandee Sawatzky and the Arapaho-Butler softball team (21-11 overall as of press time Friday) in Thursday’s opening day of the district tourney, winning both games handily.
