The second day to file for candidacy in the election that will determine Clinton’s City Councilmen for Wards 1 and 3 has come to a close, with no additional filings.

Clinton Public Schools is starting this coming school year with an updated “Personal Wireless Devices Policy,” to be implemented which will effectively ban students and limit teachers from using smartphones or other similar devices while at school.
Former Clinton Police detective Michael Joseph Bouziden is facing charges after two separate instances, both of which involved domestic assault. One of the two involved the felonious pointing of a firearm, and the other allegedly involved public intoxication.
As of press time Monday, the Custer County Election Board has received one filing for Clinton’s City Council.
