Clinton has long been proud of its veterans. Two of them were lost aboard the Battleship Arizona when it was sunk in 1941 by Japanese bombers at Pearl Harbor.

This was the car in which Bailey Thomason of Weatherford died late Thursday afternoon a short distance south of Arapaho. Inset is the other vehicle involved in the crash. That driver was treated and released at AllianceHealth hospital in Clinton.
A young man from Weatherford was killed late Thursday afternoon in a two-vehicle auto crash on U.S. Highway 183 just south of Arapaho.
The deceased was Bailey Thomason, 20. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Medical Examiner Kathy Valentine.
Auditions for Southwest Playhouse’s next production, “Our Town,” will be held at 7 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at the playhouse.
