POTEAU, Okla. (AP) — An Oklahoma man has been sentenced to more than a dozen years behind bars after he pleaded no contest in a case in which he was accused of illegally performing a surgery at a cabin in the woods.

DEL RIO, Texas (AP) — The options remaining for thousands of Haitian migrants straddling the Mexico-Texas border are narrowing as the United States government was ramping up expulsion flights to Haiti on Tuesday and Mexico began busing some away from the border.

Clinton banker Shanon Clark, with First Bank and Trust, recently graduated from the Oklahoma Bankers Association Compliance School in Oklahoma City.

Clark was among 42 participants at the school, which was held Aug. 23-27 at the OBA Harris Event Center.

The Bayer Fund announced recently the kickoff of its 2022 America’s Farmers Grow Communities program.

Dora Miller, head of Western Oklahoma Christian School, said her school has benefited from the fund’s America’s Farmers program.
