The Clinton boys’ soccer team (top) capped a perfect 18-0 season by winning the Class 4A State Championship Friday night at Taft Stadium in Oklahoma City. The Red Tornadoes defeated Woodward, 3-1, to claim the school’s first title in boys’ soccer. Clinton’s winning ways continued Saturday at Ardmore when freshman thrower Kat Meacham (at right) bested the field to win a Class 5A State Championship in the discus with a hurl of 133-feet, 1-inch.
ARDMORE – A regional title is special in its own right for a freshman, but it wasn’t enough for Clinton thrower Kat Meacham. The first year varsity competitor threw 133-feet, one-inch on her final, discus throw of the day to claim the Class 5A state title Saturday.
The Clinton Red Tornadoes (18-0 overall) are your Class 4A boys’ soccer state champions for the first time in school history, defeating Woodward 3-1. Clinton's win gives the overall soccer program its third state title in four seasons and also gives CHS its 31st total state title across all sport
