As much as Clinton boys’ head basketball coach Chad Pugh is proud of his team’s accomplishments over his five years, he’s more so proud of the culture he created in the program and that he calls the once-rivaled city his home now.
Nice weather at the start of the Clinton girls’ golf team’s home tournament Wednesday proved to be short-lived as a cold wind, and later, rain kept the poor weather streak going for the season, in a fourth-place team finish for the Lady Reds.

WEATHERFORD – The Clinton baseball team (11-8 overall, 6-2 in district) put numerous hits deep into the outfield and at the warning track but nearly all found the grasp of Weatherford (17-9, 10-1) in a 9-3, Custer County Conflict, district defeat Monday night.
ELK CITY – Both the Clinton golf team and senior, returning state qualifier Tyson Miller managed to place at Elk City’s tournament Monday, as CHS finished third in the team standings and Miller took home eighth overall.
