Olvera honored to play for storied Reds

Team players rarely get the recognition of the superstar on the roster, but Clinton senior defender Jordan Olvera got some hardware for his unselfish hard work over the years, when the Reds won the Class 4A boys’ soccer state title.

CHS shows competiveness at camp

Reds rally back, even record

WEATHERFORD – Friday’s opener in the Weatherford Festival went awry late for the Clinton baseball team (3-3 overall), falling 13-5 to Elk City, but CHS didn’t stay down and won back-to-back games Saturday to return to .500 on the summer campaign.

Lions Club opens baseball season

Teeing up the ball for the Clinton Noon Lions Club opener are, from left, Greyson Goucher, Umpire Jack Foster and Weston Stratton. Thirteen teams are participating in the league this summer and games will be held from 6-9 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout the month of June.

Martinez adds extra weapon to CHS

Plenty of unknown, big-time stars littered the Clinton boys’ soccer roster this year, and one that really flew under the radar was senior midfielder Diego Martinez.

KINGFISHER – The Clinton Preps Baseball team (2-0 overall) picked up its secondstraight win to open the season Thursday, beating Hennessey in the Kingfisher Tournament, 24-3.

Miller, Pleasant to play in K101

Two Red Tornadoes will put on the pads one more time this weekend, with senior running back/defensive back Tyson Miller and senior fullback/defensive tackle Raynen Pleasant participating in the K101 Bowl, at 7:30 p.m. Saturday night in Woodward.

Senior stays with CHS, becomes leader

In the spring of 2018, now-graduated Clinton goalkeeper Andreya Miller began her career behind two of Clinton’s all-time great keepers and had to wait for a chance to compete for the starting job.
