A unique situation is unfolding in the Clinton wrestling program, with former CHS head coach and 2020-2021 assistant Shawn Finch announcing that he is returning to the head coaching position, while 2017- 2021 head coach Rob Pitman is moving back to an assistant role, where he served in 2016-2017.
While plenty of young student athletes take the summer off to relax and recuperate from the school year, Clinton track athletes are working, trying to get better for next season.
Honors continue to pile up for the Clinton boys’ soccer team, after it captured the 2021, Class 4A state championship this past May, and this time they came from District 4A-2.
It’s never easy transferring from one college to the next but adding in a transition to a different sport only adds to the difficulty, but 2019 Clinton grad Valek Cisneros took the challenge head on this year, returning to baseball at Eastern Oklahoma State College.
Time is all the Clinton Preps baseball team needed to get to a higher level, closing out the eighth graders/upcoming freshmen’s middle school careers with a summer record of 16-4.
Tuesday’s seven-on-seven scrimmage versus Weatherford was the first taste of competition for the Clinton football team in the upcoming, 2021 season, and although both teams missed key players, the intensity is still very much alive in the rivalry.
ARAPAHO – The conclusion of another successful spring season for the Arapaho-Butler baseball team also concluded the careers of four senior starters/contributors for the Indians, which meant this summer campaign would be used to try and fill those positions.
