Friday night the Clinton basketball program etched back-to-back district championships into the history books with the Lady Reds (10-14), upsetting Harrah (13-10), 57-49, and the No. 16 CHS boys (15-9), winning big over the Panthers (9-14), 77-58 at the Tornado Dome.
TUTTLE – Faced with adversity throughout the 2019-2020 season, the No. 13 Clinton wrestling team overcame its yearlong obstacles and qualified four wrestlers for the state tournament Saturday at the regional tournament.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Clinton peewee wrestling ended its season with two on the podium in youngsters BentLee Potter (second place, Div. II, 43 pounds) and Adrien Lopez (fourth place, Div. I, 40 pounds), along with 13 total state qualifiers in the competition Feb. 14-15 at Jim Norick Arena.
ARAPAHO – A deafening, winning celebration carried on through both regional openers for the Arapaho-Butler basketball program Thursday night.
Clinton junior forward Devin Keel, No. 6, scored two goals in the Reds’ 4-3 win over Santa Fe South Thursday. The Lady Reds also took down the SFS girls, 2-0, prior to that.
Two returning Clinton state qualifiers and 10 other Red Tornadoes try to punch their state tickets, starting at 11 a.m. today on day one of the regional tournament in Tuttle.
Playoff basketball is here for Clinton, and it starts with a district championship matchup against Harrah at 6:30 p.m. tonight at the Tornado Dome.
WOODWARD – It’s fair to say the Clinton girls’ basketball team (9-14 overall) is finding its stride at the right time and furthered that narrative in a 59-43, regularseason finale win over Woodward (9-14) Tuesday night on the road.
ARAPAHO – Tonight’s opening round of the regional tournament sees the competition level ratchet up immediately for the Arapaho-Butler basketball program.
