Reds start state tournament

Day one of the state tournament sees three Clinton wrestlers battling for their seasons in the do-or-die, wrestle-in matches, beginning at 9:30 a.m. this morning at Jim Norick Arena in the State Fairgrounds located in OKC.

CHS slow-pitch begins second season back

In less than a few weeks’ times, Clinton softball will get back on the field for its slowpitch season, but the work started right after the fast-pitch season, a reoccurring trend under fourth-year head coach Lisa Moss.

‘Conflict’ rematch opens regional tourney

An opportunity to clinch a spot in the area tournament, advance to the regional finals and pick up some bragging rights in the rivalry, all headline tonight’s regional-opening matchup between the Clinton and Weatherford basketball programs.

Regional champions again

ARAPAHO – For the second time in three years, the No. 9 Arapaho-Butler boys’ basketball team (24- 3 overall) captured a regional title and advanced to the area tournament winner’s bracket, beating No. 7 Vici (21-5), 46-44, Saturday night at home.

Clinton claims district crowns

Friday night the Clinton basketball program etched back-to-back district championships into the history books with the Lady Reds (10-14), upsetting Harrah (13-10), 57-49, and the No. 16 CHS boys (15-9), winning big over the Panthers (9-14), 77-58 at the Tornado Dome.

CHS wrestling sends four to state tournament

TUTTLE – Faced with adversity throughout the 2019-2020 season, the No. 13 Clinton wrestling team overcame its yearlong obstacles and qualified four wrestlers for the state tournament Saturday at the regional tournament.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Clinton peewee wrestling ended its season with two on the podium in youngsters BentLee Potter (second place, Div. II, 43 pounds) and Adrien Lopez (fourth place, Div. I, 40 pounds), along with 13 total state qualifiers in the competition Feb. 14-15 at Jim Norick Arena.
