Schools expected to close

Monday afternoon State Superintendent Joy Hofmeister announced the tough news that many involved in high school sports were waiting to hear. Hofmeister proposed that schools stay closed for the remainder of the year due to the rapidly spreading COVID-19 (Coronavirus), which would also end all remaining athletics.

Two years ago, the Clinton boys’ basketball team began its ascent up the Class 4A ranks, and the game that started it all was a rivalry, road, regional consolation title game win over the Anadarko Warriors.

Denney, Newcomb make K-101

Add two more names to Clinton football’s K-101 Bowl history – senior Reds Dalton Denney and Ty Newcomb were named to the west team’s roster this week for the 32nd annual all-star contest. The football and basketball games will be held May 27-30 at Woodward’s athletic facilities.
