Nguyen lives up to pedigree
EDITOR’S NOTE: The Oklahoma State Department of Education announced Wednesday that public schools would remained closed for the rest of the year and distance learning would be implemented.
Monday afternoon State Superintendent Joy Hofmeister announced the tough news that many involved in high school sports were waiting to hear. Hofmeister proposed that schools stay closed for the remainder of the year due to the rapidly spreading COVID-19 (Coronavirus), which would also end all remaining athletics.
A fantastic year on the field/court and off led to seven Arapaho-Butler Indians earning Five County All-Conference honors earlier this month.
Two years ago, the Clinton boys’ basketball team began its ascent up the Class 4A ranks, and the game that started it all was a rivalry, road, regional consolation title game win over the Anadarko Warriors.
Add two more names to Clinton football’s K-101 Bowl history – senior Reds Dalton Denney and Ty Newcomb were named to the west team’s roster this week for the 32nd annual all-star contest. The football and basketball games will be held May 27-30 at Woodward’s athletic facilities.
