CHS uses bye to prep for playoffs

This past week essentially turned into a bye for the Clinton soccer program, after finishing district play last Thursday at Woodward for the district titles.

SWEETWATER – Arapaho-Butler track brought home a haul of hardware from the five-county meet Monday, as the Lady Indians captured the meet championship and the A-B boys ended as the runner-up.

A Clinton High School track record was set once again by the tremendous, young, throwing squad Monday at Ardmore, when freshman Kat Meacham threw 119-feet, fourinches in the discus.

CHS competes, falls short of state

ELK CITY – It was a tall ask for the Clinton girls’ golf team to try and qualify for state with three of four players being freshmen, and despite a good effort, it came up short in a fourth-place finish, at the Elk City regional Tuesday.

Martin helps Clinton in two sports

One senior athlete is getting the most out of the spring sports seasons – Marzeya Martin decided to play slow-pitch softball and run track, even though she’s finishing up her final year of high school.

A-B rolls to another district title

ARAPAHO – Just like its basketball district title streak, Arapaho-Butler baseball owns the district tournament when spring comes around, and it did so again Thursday and Friday sweeping its games, for the program’s seventh-straight title.

The Arapaho- Butler slow-pitch softball team (13-17 overall) ended its season in the district title Thursday.

Clinton sees solid placers at Elk City

ELK CITY – The Clinton tennis team didn’t have its full array of starters due to a vocal event, but multiple Reds and Lady Reds placed well at Elk City’s Tournament Thursday.

Reds win out, take third in 4A-4

There were a few criteria that factored into the Clinton baseball team trying to obtain third place in District 4A-4, but the biggest, was that they needed to win, which they did with a run-rule sweep of Woodward Saturday at home.
