Clinton junior slugger Caden Powell took home his second home run derby title but at a different event showcase. Powell won the High Plains Shootout home run derby last year and then the Oklahoma State Games home run derby this year.

Reds claim win at state tourney

SALLISAW – This 12U group for the Clinton baseball program has battled its entire career when backed against a wall, and it proved that statement true again Wednesday, coming back to defeat Chandler, 6-5, in the elimination game at the state tournament.

Rob Essary, 71, of Clinton died Wednesday, July 22, 2020, at Cordell Christian Home.

A memorial service will be held in the spring.

Cars collide in town
