Clinton Public Schools has recently announced four teachers across its different sites that have been selected as the 2025 Clinton Public Schools Teacher of the Year candidates. Teacher of the Year candidates are selected by their fellow teachers and administration, based on how they engage with their students education and promote a positive and safe learning environment for students. Clinton Public Schools will announce which teacher will be recognized as District Teacher of the Year on Dec. 19 at the Clinton Middle School Auditorium.
The filing period for local school boards closed Wednesday with no new additions, leaving the incumbents to resume duties uninterrupted.
Tuesday night’s Clinton City Council meeting marked the beginning of a new term for the new Ward 3 Councilwoman Erin Adams, as well as another term for incumbent Ernesto Villanueva of Ward 1. Both were sworn in, and they celebrated with a high five.
