The Custer County Sheriff’s Office will be increasing its presence in area schools after Custer County commissioners approved an agreement Monday between the sheriff’s office and Arapaho- Butler Public Schools to allow for deputies to spend up to 10 hours a week at the school.
An Altus man died Friday evening as a result of injuries suffered from a car accident on U.S. Highway 183, four miles south of Cordell.
