OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — One person was injured when shots were fired during an argument between two groups of people at the Oklahoma State Fair on Saturday, sending a crowd of people running for safety, police said.
Funding road projects is always a concern of Custer County Commissioners as they work to keep county roads in good shape. As commissioners eye needed projects, the search for possible grant funding for those projects also continues like grants from the Oklahoma Conservation Commission, an application for which was approved during a Monday meeting of the commissioners.
The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is investigating the death of Lyman Weasel Bear Jr., 48, who died in what is being treated as a homicide after an altercation occurred late Friday evening at a residence in the 600 block of Modelle Avenue.
A Colorado man was transported to the hospital by helicopter Monday morning due to injuries incurred from a motorcycle accident on Interstate 40, three miles west of Clinton.
