A Kingston man died Tuesday evening after being struck by a car while traveling on foot around the intersection of State Highway 44 and E. 1160 Rd., just south of Burns Flat.

Months after officers at the Clinton Police Department voted to form a union on Feb. 16, a Collective Bargaining Agreement between the City and the department has officially been ratified by the Clinton City Council during Tuesday’s regular meeting which includes pay raises for union officers as well as updates to department equipment.

Key Club to gather up coats to help folks

The Clinton High School Key Club is currently hosting a coat drive from now to Dec. 1. For the duration of the month, they will accept donations of outerwear at four locations: InterBank, the Bank of the West, CTC and the atrium in the high school’s main building.

An unnamed new food distributor is coming to Clinton after the Clinton City Council approved the sale of 2.89 acres of land in Clinton’s Industrial Park, located just south of Commerce Road, Tuesday night to 42 Real Estate for the site of a food distributer who will service the Clinton, Elk City and Weatherford area.
