Snider uses many skills in farming career

Brad Snider comes from a long line of farmers and ranchers who settled generations ago southeast of Clinton, where they still farm today serving the community through their farming and cattle operations.

The population is growing and so is its demand for food to fuel those extra bodies. Harvard Business Review reports the global population has quadrupled over the last century. It’s predicted that, by 2050, the population will exceed 9 billion people.

Climate change poses a threat to various industries, not the least of which is the agricultural sector. Agricultural industry insiders recognize that the changing climate has been forcing farmers and agricultural organizations to adapt and adjust for decades, and that need to be flexible won’t change in the years to come.

CHS valedictorian, salutatorian named

Clinton High School has named its valedictorian and salutatorian for the Class of 2023. Finn Murray is the valedictorian and Grayson McCullough is the salutatorian.

Just over a year since West Texas Turf took over management of the Riverside Golf Course in February of 2022, Riverside Golf Course Manager James Riley said things are progressing with updates to the greens, pro-shop and an increase in rounds played.

Clinton Middle School student Bella Bridgeman was recently awarded second place in the seventh- grade division of a writing competition for the statewide Law Day Contest sponsored by the Oklahoma Bar Association (OBA).
