(AP) – The Texas Senate gave unanimous approval to a sweeping water bill Wednesday that would address a range of issues that have caused a looming water crisis in the state. The bill focuses on creating new sources of water supply to meet Texas’ growing water needs.

(AP) – The U.S. Department of Energy said it has identified 16 federal sites, including storied nuclear research laboratories such as Los Alamos, where tech companies could build data centers in a push to accelerate commercial development of artificial intelligence technology.

Clinton High School has announced the recipients of October’s Red Tornado Boy and Girl Award, an honor bestowed upon senior students who exemplify school spirit and an academic work ethic. Every month a ballot is sent out by Principal Michelle Sorter on which teachers vote for who they believe best exhibits the values of CHS. For the month of October, Adrian Rodriguez and Joel Badillo were selected for the honor.

Three properties were condemned at Tuesday night’s Clinton City Council meeting and a resolution was passed to declare surplus and seek the disposal of a property the City of Clinton has owned since 1946.
