The Clinton Chamber of Commerce is currently seeking sponsors for the New Teacher Luncheon scheduled for noon July 30 at the Frisco Center. “It’s a way to welcome the new teachers into the business community of Clinton,” said Chamber President Julie Caldwell. “Some of them have never lived here. They’re moving in for that, to be a teacher here. They may even live in other communities. It’s important to know that our business community backs the schools and the new teachers, and just to introduce them to new people that they may have never known, or what their business is.”

Adams announces Ward 3 intentions

The filing period for the positions of Ward 1 and Ward 3 on the Clinton City Council will be Monday through Wednesday and one person has indicated she will file to run for the Ward 3 position.
