Oklahoma school districts are making preparations to begin “distance learning” instruction on April 6, as mandated by the Oklahoma State Department of Education (OSDE). Clinton Public Schools Superintendent Kevin Hime said that administrators here are busy designing a framework to meet the needs of Clinton students, but stressed that he intends to be flexible in the coming weeks.

New sign in place

The new sign, a collaboration between the Clinton Ministerial Alliance and the City of Clinton is up and greeting visitors to town that elect to take the first exit into Clinton from the westbound lane of Interstate 40. CDN

Custer County now has four conformed cases of COVID-19, according to the Oklahoma State Department of Health.

Changes have been made to the second-half payment due date for ad valorem taxes, said Custer County Treasurer Janet Roulet. Per guidelines recently put in place by Gov. Kevin Stitt, for taxpayers who have already made their first-half payment, the payment due date for second-half ad valorem taxes will now be April 30.
